Nova-Clear is a high-performance, pre-catalyzed waterborne urethane coating formulated for wood substrates. It provides a clear, non-yellowing finish with excellent resistance to abrasion, moisture, and common household chemicals typically associated with two component systems. When applied according to the manufacturer’s recommendations, the complete coating system meets or exceeds applicable Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) performance requirements.
Nova-Clear Semi-Gloss is a high-performance, pre-catalyzed waterborne urethane coating formulated for wood substrates. It provides a clear, non-yellowing finish with excellent resistance to abrasion, moisture, and common household chemicals typically associated with two-component systems.
When applied according to the manufacturer’s recommendations, the complete coating system meets or exceeds applicable Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) performance requirements.
On new wood, apply 1 coat of NC01 Nova-Clear Sanding Sealer, followed by 1–2 coats of this product. When used as a self-sealing system, apply 2–3 coats. Over properly prepared, previously coated wood, apply 2–3 coats.
Recommended film thickness per coat: Wet = 3.0–4.0 mils, Dry = 1.0–1.3 mils.
400 – 500 sq ft per gallon, depending on the application method and the porosity of the substrate.
