The recommended coating system consists of 1 coat of Nova-Clear Sanding Sealer, applied at 3–4 mils wet, followed by 1–2 coats of Nova-Clear Topcoat in the desired sheen, also applied at 3–4 mils per coat. Nova-Clear may also be used as a self-sealing system by applying 2–3 coats of the Topcoat at 3–4 mils wet per coat. The total dry film thickness of the complete coating system must not exceed 5 mils.
